Croatia Allows Modric To Leave

This will be good news for Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane as his midfielder Luka Modric has been released from international duty by Croatia. This follows a negotiation between the Real Madrid manager and his Croatian counterpart. The player has been allowed to leave the national team after playing the first match against Peru and has been allowed to rejoin his club.

Zinedine Zidane was wary that his player could pick up an injury especially after the one sustained in the Champions League match against Paris Saint Germain. Luka Modric has since not played for Real Madrid and had to miss the Spanish league match against Girona for a calf injury.

Modric wants to retire at Real Madrid

Former Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder Luka Modric said that he wants to retire at Real Madrid. He made this statement after rising speculations that the player might be leaving the club at the end of his current contract.

He said that he feels happy at the club and that he is playing regularly at the moment and that there is nothing that he could ask for more. Modric said that as a player you want to spend most of your time on the pitch, and this is what he is doing at the moment.

Modric excited for new season

Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric said that he is excited about the new season and that he is looking to win trophies again.


He believes that Real Madrid has a great chance of winning the title again and that the players are all determined to achieve it.

He believes that there is a good team spirit within the group and that the players are working hard ahead of the new season. He said that it has been a wonderful game against Manchester United and that they are looking forward to replicating the same form in the Spanish league.

MODRIC: COUNTER ATTACK STYLE WRECKED JUVE

Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric opines that it was their counter attacking style that helped them wreck Juve in the final of the Champions League.


Juve were expected to put up a stronger performance that they did at the final in Cardiff.

The game was hard fought and balance in the first half. However the second half was the game changer as Real ran off as eventual winners.

“[Zinedine] Zidane found the weak point of the Bianconeri defence, and we prepared for the final all week with that in mind. The Juve defenders are fantastic when they’re in position, but not if you catch them on the counter attack,” Modric said.

Luka Modric has no intentions of leaving Real Madrid anytime soon

It was back on August of 2012 when Luka Modric joined Real Madrid and signed a 5 year long deal with the Spanish club.


From there on out, Modric has done on to become one of the most influential players in the entire squad and he has embarked on a very successful career as the Croatian midfielder has lifted some of the most prestigious pieces of silverware in the world of football including: The UEFA Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup, just to name a few.

Luka Modric spent 4 seasons performing with Tottenham Hotspur but he failed to win any major trophy but with Real Madrid, things have quickly changed and the Croatian is clearly enjoying his time in the Santiago Bernabeu as Modric has extended his contract until June of 2020 and he has recently stated that he wants to continue performing for Real Madrid even beyond what his contract has established. Real Madrid is facing tough times at the moment. Cristiano Ronaldo returned from injury late last year and seems not to have reached his best levels, even though he is aging.

Luka Modric is out of action for around 1 month
