Really? .. in 2005/2006, spurs were 5th, without modric, in 2006/2007, Spurs came 5th, without modric, in 2007/2008, spurs came 11th, WITH modric, in 2008/2009, spurs came 8th, WITH Modric. Modric scored 4 goals last season, and very few assists compared to other less desirable midfielders. So no, im not entirely convinced on your argument there.
